What is prime time?+
Most evenings there’s a prime-time window when the most people are on Venn at once. The app shows you when the next one starts, and the schedule can change. It’s not a gate: the feed is open all the time. Prime time is simply your best shot at matching with someone who’s online right now and turning it into a live call.
Why video first?+
Photos are easy to fake and easier to over-polish. On Venn, every profile is a short, unfiltered video — you hear a voice, see a real person, and decide from that. It’s the closest thing to meeting someone before you actually meet them.
When can I call someone?+
Calls happen between mutual matches, inside the app. If you match while you’re both online, you’ll see “Call now” and can start a video call on the spot. If the other person is offline, send a message instead — and when a match of yours comes online, we’ll send you a push (“X is online now”), at most one per match every six hours. We use Agora for real-time video; calls are never recorded.
What is a kiss? What is a super kiss?+
A kiss is an invite — how you say “I’d like to talk to you”. If they kiss you back, it’s a match. Free accounts get 5 kisses per day; the counter resets at midnight, your device time. Kisses you’ve sent that are still pending live in the Sent tab. A super kiss bumps you up the other person’s feed and is a clearer signal — you get two per week with Venn Premium, or buy them as a one-time pack.
What does Venn Premium add over the free tier?+
Unlimited kisses, two super kisses per week, and the “Live now” filter — see only people who are online right now. Free accounts have a 5-kiss daily cap. Free or premium — there are no ads, and video views are unlimited for everyone.
What is the “Live now” filter?+
A Venn Premium filter that narrows the feed to people who are online at this moment — useful when you want a call tonight, not a pen pal. Everyone, free or premium, can see the green “Online now” dot on profiles; only the filter is premium.
What does “usually online” mean?+
After sign-up you can tell us when you’re usually around (say, weekday evenings). Profiles then show “usually online” with that window, in the profile owner’s own local time. It’s optional — skip it or remove it whenever you like. Separately, Venn learns from when you actually use the app to order the feed, so people who are online or likely to be online soon appear first. That learned pattern is aggregated counts only, is never shown on any profile, and you can delete it at any time (it’s also deleted with your account).
What is Express Review?+
When you submit your profile, it goes into a review queue. Express Review is a one-time €1.99 purchase that moves you into a 24-hour queue. It is not a guaranteed acceptance — every profile is still reviewed, just faster.
Why was my profile rejected?+
Common reasons: poor lighting, bad audio, horizontal video, group photo, sunglasses, bio too short, video cuts off, no face visible, or inappropriate content. The rejection screen tells you which one, and you can re-submit at any time.
Where is Venn available?+
Right now: Portugal, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. We open new regions as our community grows.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
iOS: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Venn Premium. Android: Google Play → your account → Subscriptions → Venn. Cancelling stops the renewal — you keep premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
How do I delete my account?+
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. All your profile data, photos, video, matches, chats and presence history are wiped within 30 days. If you can't access the app, email support@venndatingapp.com from the address on your account.
What does Venn do with my profile video?+
We use it for two things: showing your profile to people you might match with, and verifying that you're a real person (via an AI review using Google Gemini). The video is never used to train any AI model.
Someone is harassing me. What do I do?+
Open their profile → tap the menu → Report. You can also block. Reports go to a human reviewer; we take harassment, hate speech, and impersonation seriously and act fast.
